Thursday, August 30, 2007 Who can explain this discrepancy?
... that “development levies imposed on developers brought in about $900,000 a month for the council and were used to pay for everything from interest on debt to infrastructure.” (Northern Advocate, 30 August, page 3.)
$900,00 x 12 = $10,800,000 per year.
However, the annual plan shows a forecast of only $5,814,000 for the year.
I’m confused! How can there be such a discrepancy?
