About Brian Mclachlan
I have been successfully self-employed in the brokering of forest products. This required co-ordination, organization, price negotiation, planning ability and building strong relationships in a team environment to be commercially successful. This has allowed me to retire early.
I bought my first property in the Avenues at age 18 and I now live in the Beach Road area.
I have spent the last 3 years attending council meetings, observing and learning the complexities of council procedures. I have also spent this time building relationships with council staff, advisors, mentors and researchers, and feel I am fully prepared to take on the role of Councillor.
I have the time and enthusiasm to contribute to the community I was born in.
